Laboratory workup for patient with chronic infection

Recurrent chronic infection is relatively common among infant and children. A panel of laboratory tests and review of peripheral blood morphology can help to find the causes of recurrent infection especially in children. New technology such as Crispr caspase 9 has opened a new window for treatment of neutropenia.
